TIPS TO SURVIVE LOAD SHEDDING:•BE AWARE OF THE TIMES YOUR AREA WILL BE AFFECTED BY LOAD SHEDDING! Print the schedule for your area and stick it on your fridge door.•Unplug appliances (especially sensitive electronics) during power outages.•Do not forget to plug in all unplugged appliances (especially fridges and freezers) when power is restored.•Treat all electrical outlets as “live” during power outages and avoid contact to prevent electrocution.•Users may lose cellular network coverage, especially data connectivity during power outages, as the mobile network operators do not have backup power (or may have limited power) at base stations. If uninterrupted connectivity is critical, consider fixed line internet connections.•If you have an FTTH (fibre to the home) internet service, remember that most installations have two powered devices, an ONT and a wifi router that will need to be powered if you wish to use backup power. Contact us to advise and provide backup power solutions.•Download shows, movies, Youtube videos onto tablets and phones to watch during load shedding and keep entertained.•Fill a thermos flask with hot water prior to the outage to make tea or coffee during load shedding.Use of these schedules is solely at the risk of the user and www.navchun.com takes no responsibilty for changes to the schedule that may be implemented by City Power; loss of power; damage to appliances or any other inconvenience/s that may be experienced by users.
